Cycle to Work scheme comes to Trafford

Published: 19/07/2011

Author: Rose Featherby

We are pleased to announce we have now launched a Cycle to Work scheme for Trafford Council staff.

The Cycle to Work scheme is part of the government's Green transport plan and allows you to access bikes and safety equipment tax free.

The scheme enhances the existing benefits package for Trafford staff, encourages a healthy lifestyle and reduces the environmental impact on the Borough.

With savings of about 40% off the usual retail price, it's a great incentive for staff to start cycling to work. Employees can choose their bikes and equipment from a number of local cycle shops, and monthly payments will be taken from their salaries for a year, followed by a final payment of the bike's fair market value.
