Why do I need a Travel Plan?

A travel plan will be required for major developments that incorporate employment, retail and leisure uses. This should be submitted together with your planning application.

The Council may also require a travel plan if your development proposal is for an extension to an existing building which may result in an increased level of visitors or traffic by employing more staff.

Individual travel plans may be required dependant on site thresholds.
